I got a job!!

Today, I was offered a job position as an outside sales rep and I cannot wait!! I start my new job May 21st, but I'll have to move a week or so before Brian moves. Our actual moving date is June 13th and 14th. I will be traveling to 30-40 smaller towns (30,000 or less in population) and try and encourage businesses to buy an ad to place on the back of a t-shirt. There will be around 20 different ads on the back of the shirt and the front of the shirt will have something the town is known for. I think this will be a great opportunity and also I will be able to get involve with the community. I want that sort of connection with a town and not feel so disconnected. I believe great things will arise for me! Muah...

The Beach

Today, Brian and I took Brody to the beach to have some fun in the sun. It was the perfect day to be there. Not many people were at the beach today, which was great! We were able to let Brody off his leash and run free. We brought a kite (Winnie the Pooh), a frisbee and a sand bucket to relive a few childhood memories. Brian put the kite handle on Brody's leash to let him fly the kite...it was so funny.

I made a sand castle while Brian was flying his kite. I can't remember the last time I did that...I guess sometime back in elementary school. The top kind of fell apart, but the rest looked good.

After making my sand castle, Brian let me fly his kite for a little bit...until I made it nose dive to the ground :(

Overall, we had a great time. Brody slept all the way back home...he was all tuckered out. You can't beat a day at the beach :)

First Timer...

Hello everyone. When I came across this website, I thought it would be fun to keep everyone updated on what was going on in our daily life. I'm new to this blogging thing, so please be patient. A lot has been going on since last summer. We moved to Georgia from Mississippi, we were married the same week we moved (that was a little crazy), Brian started his new job and I started a job that I did not enjoy. We got the cutest little puppy, Brody, in November '06...he came all the way from Texas...and we treat him like he is our child.

He will be turning 7 months this Friday, April 27th, and he's a mess. We are now moving again to North Carolina this June and I CANNOT wait! I'll be further away from my family, but we will be one hour closer to Brian's parents from where we are now which makes things a little easier. I think this move is the right decision for us. The town alone is GREAT! It's historical, there's culture, night life, right there at the beach and we won't have to drive an hour to go do anything...everything is right there! It's a great place to really start our lives and a place that we can actually call 'home'. I've already submitted my resume to several places and I've had one interview already (I'll hear something in a couple of weeks). So, hopefully something will open up for me. It's all in God's hands!!
